During the next few months we will be celebrating change - our Savior’s birth, a new year and changes in our lives. We are being transformed. As Christ’s new creation we look to God for His help and now live as servants and ambassadors of God. In LWML we are all sisters in Christ and we live for God. How can we bring others to Christ and reconcile them to Christ?
- Live by the Spirit of Christ and as a new creation reach out with kindness, love, joy, patience, gentleness and self-control.
- Submit a Mission Grant Proposal for the 2026-2028 Chesapeake District Biennium. Grant Proposals are being accepted now through March 1, 2026.
- Continue to crochet or knit reusable sanitary cloths for young women and girls of Africa and Central America (Directions on are page 3 of this issue of the Breeze.)
- Volunteer to help with planning and/or execution of special projects and gatherings such as Prayer Breakfast or Spring Rallies.
- Consider “running” for a Board of Directors office. Contact me at [email protected] or Sandy O‘Hedy [email protected], chairman of Nominating Committee if you are interested or want to find out more about serving on the Chesapeake District Board of Directors.
- Use one of the many LWML resources and lead a Bible Study online, in your home, at church, at Panera. Go to LWML website, click on Resources for Bible Studies, Crafts & Activities, Devotions, Helps for leaders and Groups, Power Points and more!
- Pray daily to God, asking for His guidance as you serve others. We are not just turning over a new leaf. We are living as a new creation and Christ now lives in us.
One of my favorite pieces that my handbell choir rings is ”How Can I Keep From Singing.”
It uses the Singing Bell technique. The technique is patterned after the original bells used on mountaintops in Tibet to communicate across difficult terrains. Whatever path(s) you are led to initiate and bring others to Christ, lean on Him to help you through the sometimes rough, challenging terrains. Be reassured by God’s promise: “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28: 20
My life flows on in endless song, above earth’s lamentation
I catch the sweet, though far-off hymn that hails a new creation.
No storm can shake my inmost calm while to that Rock I’m clinging.
Since Love is lord of heav’n and earth, how can I keep from singing?
